Hiatus + A Tragic Death

I've made my decision! Starting tomorrow afternoon, HMS will be on Hiatus! During this hiatus I will be making some drastic changes to the site! I don't have to many ideas of what will happen yet but hopefully it will be better then what is here now. I have no clue when we will re-open. It may be a month, a week, heck maybe even a year. I will be taking my time with the new plans.

On another note, the world has been hit with a tragic death. Heath Ledger was found dead just today in a Manhattan apartment! He was 28. This is a developing story and more details are likely to come. CLICK HERE for more information. R.I.P.

Possibly Closing...

The title basically says it all. Yes, I am thinking about closing HMS. Reason being is that I am not happy with the feedback that this site is getting. Their are alot of haters and I know I have to accept that but its getting out of control.

Not only that but my site hits are very low! Some sites that opened way after HMS are getting more hits then this one. I really feel like me doing this is a waste of my time. I know, its all kind of confusing (lol). Anyways, nothing is official yet but I am very much considering it.

PS: For all you fans of HMS...thanks!

Lily Allen Has A Miscarriage

The singer, 22, had a miscarriage after returning from a romantic holiday with boyfriend ED SIMONS, 37. A source said: “They are in a state of shock.”

The heartbroken singer was eagerly looking forward to her first child - and turned her back on her party lifestyle in order to be the perfect mum.

Singer Lily, 22, and boyfriend Ed Simons, 37, were last night being comforted by family and friends after she had a miscarriage.

Lily and the Chemical Brothers star had just returned home after a romantic holiday in the Maldives when she tragically lost her baby.

A source said: “Lily and Ed are in a state of shock.

“The bad news has been really difficult for them to take and they are absolutely heartbroken.

“Lily’s entire outlook on life changed after she found out she was pregnant. She was looking forward to being a mum and starting a family with Ed.

“She had turned her back on her party girl image and had turned over a new leaf.

“They are surrounded by friends and family are offering support. It is a really difficult time for them.”

The couple have enjoyed a whirlwind romance since they began dating a few months ago.

Lily - who first saw Ed perform when she was a 12-year-old fan at Glastonbury festival with her comedian dad KEITH - fell for him at a Chemical Brothers gig in London’s Trafalgar Square in September.

And in December The Sun exclusively revealed she was pregnant with her first child. Since then she had re-arranged her work schedule to fit around the birth.

Lily had a huge global hit with her debut album Alright Still, and is due to release her second album later this year.

The singer recently told how her pregnancy was a huge surprise.

She said: “I’ve looked forward to being stable my whole life. My parents are amazing, but it has been a whirlwind upbringing.

“I have got my eye on the prize, which is having kids and getting married and cooking dinner and doing homework with my children.”

Lily burst on to the pop scene in summer 2006 with her upbeat single Smile. Her debut effort went straight to No1, while her album reached No2 and is up for a prestigious Grammy award this year.

She also inspired a new generation of female singers, including Brit-nominated KATE NASH.

Her spokesman said: “We can confirm that Lily Allen has suffered a miscarriage. She and her partner Ed Simons will be making no further comment and we ask that their privacy be respected during this difficult time.”

Soulja Boy Makes History

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (Top40 Charts/ Interscope Records) - The first artist to rack up 3,000,000 downloads of a digital track/song is a teenager! "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" from 17-year-old rap phenom Soulja Boy Tell'em officially surpassed the landmark number this week.

Grammy nominated for Best Rap Song and the No 1 song on the Hot 100 chart for seven weeks, "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" has also sold more than 3,000,000 ringtones and its music video has been viewed an incredible 28,000,000 times on YouTube.
In addition, the instructional dance video has been viewed 22,000,000 times and the video for the single "Soulja Girl" (featuring I-15) 11,000,000 times. Not surprisingly then, his website is also the No 1 most viewed artist site on the Web, with more than 1,000,000 unique hits per month. His MySpace page has recorded 27,000,000 profile views and 31,000,000 audio streams. The charismatic Souljaboy is also being seen on cellphones worldwide via Soulja Boy TV (SBTV), a free mobile television WAP site.

"Soulja Boy has set the bar for what's possible in terms of breaking an artist online," commented Steve Berman, President of Sales and Marketing for Interscope Geffen A&M Records. "He's been doing it since day one, before he was signed here, so I'm not surprised he's setting a record today. Soulja Boy is out there on the frontier, showing everyone else what's possible."

"I can't thank my fans enough, without them all of this wouldn't have been possible. The support they give me is beyond incredible. I have so many Soulja Boy Tell'em projects ready and I will continue to give them what they need in 2008. Yuuuuaaaa!!" exclaims Soulja Boy Tell'em.

With his debut album, Souljaboytellem.com (ColliPark Music/Interscope Records), rocketing past its gold certification - having sold more than 658,000 copies to date - Soulja Boy is the biggest selling new hip-hop or R&B artist of 2007.

But he's not stopping there. Kicking off 2008, his video for the album's third single, "Yahhh!" (featuring Arab), premiered this week on BET's "Access Granted" and on Yahoo! Music. The behind-the-scenes feature on "Yahhh!" has already been viewed 1,200,000 times on YouTube.
The story of Soulja Boy Tell'em has just begun.

That is crazy! I love Crank Dat but I can't get over that it set a record! Way to go Soulja Boy!

Idol's Season 7 Premiere Has Low Raitings

Last night's (Jan. 15) return of "American Idol" drew 33.2 million viewers -- down from last year but still nothing to sneeze at.

The mega-series was down 11% in viewership when it premiered to 37.4 million viewers, according to preliminary estimates released by Nielsen Media Research. It was the lowest premiere in viewership since season 3 on Jan. 20, 2004, though the number is still much higher than any other series on TV.

"Idol" was down 13% in adults 18-49 -- with similar declines in adults 18-34 and adults 25-54 -- with a 13.8 rating/32 share, Nielsen said. Last year's premiere averaged a 15.8/36 in the demo. It was close to the 14/33 that the fifth season premiere did on Jan. 18, 2005.

Viewership rose steadily throughout its two-hour premiere with 28.7 million viewers at 8 p.m. jumping to 35.9 million by 9:30 p.m.

This really isn't much of a surprise. Idol, both American & Canadian, are losing their populairty. Last night, yes, I did tune into the season premiere. I found it quite entertaining but some of them were just sad. My guess is that people that know they suck still audition just to be on TV! Oh well.
